Go The Extra Mile For OTHERS

Going the extra mile for YOU is a great place to start building this powerful habit of always going above and beyond in everything that you do. However, the real magic starts when you start applying this to all parts of your life and go the extra mile for OTHERS! Earlier in your Life Mastery journey, we covered the importance of building great relationships with friends, family, teachers, and eventually coworkers and business partners when you reach that stage in life. The great news is that going the extra mile is the fastest most powerful way to make an impact in your relationships and show others how much you really care!

If you’re wondering what exactly it means to go the extra mile for others, you‘ll be happy to hear that it‘s actually super easy! All you have to do is always do more than what’s asked of you! So if your Mom asks you to clean your dish after you eat, offer to clean all the dishes instead. If your teacher assigns homework, ask if you can do a little more for extra credit. If you’re working on a group project, do a little more than just your part of the project. Put simply, if a friend or family member asks for help, volunteer to do a little bit more than what‘s expected. Once you get good at this, you’ll notice that people will be very grateful for the things you do and always have amazing things to say about you. That’s what going the extra mile is all about!

Go The Extra Mile For OTHERS Exercise: List a few things that your friends, family, coaches, and teachers sometimes ask you to do. This could be chores, assignments, practice, and favors like helping a friend study. After each thing, write down some ways you can go the extra mile and put in a little extra effort to help others!
