Introduction to taking Initiative

Taking Initiative

The Torch: A fire is a one of the strongest, most powerful forces in the universe! Don’t wait for others to give you light, take the initiative and spark your own flame! It‘s up to you to carry your own torch.

What Goes Around Comes Around

What if one day you came home after a long day of school, only to find that your home was a total mess? Imagine that the floors were sticky, the garbage was overflowing, the fridge was empty, and there was absolutely no snacks or food anywhere in the house. How would you feel? You’d probably be upset and likely hungry around dinner time! Although this situation may seem totally crazy, it would actually happen if your parents didn’t take the initiative each and every day! Every evening after a hard day of work, someone in your family takes the initiative and puts in time and effort to make sure you are comfortable. From cleaning the house, to making you food, everything you need is taken care of without you ever even having to ask!

How Can YOU Take Initiative

Hopefully now you realize how much time and effort goes into the little things that most of us don’t even notice. And your family takes the initiative all because they love you and care about your health and happiness. But here’s the coolest part about it, you can show your family how much you love and appreciate them by also taking the initiative from time to time. It will make your family feel amazing and it’s actually really easy once you get the hang of it! Don’t wait for the things you want to just happen or for someone else to do them for you. Instead, keep an eye out for little things that you can easily step up and handle without anyone asking. It really is that simple! Remember initiative is a sign of confidence and awareness of your surroundings. It’s a powerful habit that gets better and easier with practice.
